Underway Binding is an evolution of the family business focused on flexible marine, outdoor and indoor flooring elements. With firm roots in the flooring industry since 1996, we are committed to bringing our expertise to provide service of the highest quality and keeping the lines of communication with our clients clear and concise. Our custom services are focused on snap-on and drop-in marine matting and residential carpet binding services.

CONSULTATION

On-site and completely personalized. We meet you on-location and discuss textiles, take measurements, and provide a quote in 24 hours.

TEMPLATING

While waiting for your textile to arrive we schedule time to customize and complete your unique template to ensure an exact fit.

FABRICATION

When the textiles arrive we scribe your template and hand cut the flooring elements at our studio in Annapolis, Maryland. Once cut, we apply the selected bindings to ensure a flawless application around all the unique curves and corners.

INSTALLATION

After the marine matting is inspected and has been cleared for delivery, we schedule a time to install all fasteners to ensure a snug and flawless fit. Prior to departure we review your textiles care and warrantee information.

Captain Michael Kline grew up in Maugansville, MD. Over the last 16 years Michael has been deployed across the continental United States with the U.S. Coast Guard. Michael has operated in environments from the arctic circle to the equator and understands how harsh environments impact the integrity of any marine installation. Through his service, Michael found his passion in the boating industry and brings his skillset and knowledge to every customer at Underway Binding.
